I am a married 57 year old woman and my life has been like many others, I have always worked outside the home until I became disabled in 2005 and couldn’t any longer. When I was not working or keeping up with children who were very involved in sports I worked on my art. I’ve done many, many different kinds of crafts and art work over the years and discovered Creative Paper Clay even before I discovered Gourds. My husband and I went to a Gourd Festival just because it sounded interesting to me and voila’ I was hooked! I now devote all my time to my artwork and working with paper clay. I’m a member of the Harrison Art League, the Ozark Arts Council, the Palette Art League, and the Hill Country Art Gallery. I am also a member of the American Gourd Society and the Show-Me Gourd Society of Missouri. I have my Gourd Art displayed and for sale in The Emporium in Norfolk, AR, The Ozark Crafts Gallery in Hardy, AR, The Brook Falls Gallery in Calico Rock, AR, The Oak Leaf Gallery in Harrison, AR, and The Hill Country Art Gallery in Mountain Home, AR. I have been so blessed to be able to teach a Gourd Art class every Saturday in Mountain Home at the Hill Country Art Gallery and will be taking over the first of May 2011, currently I’m helping the Gourd Artist who first started the classes there and whom I’ve been taking lessons from for the past year. I’m looking forward to having classes where the students can try Creative Paper Clay on their work. I also have eight art shows/competitions set up for this year in Arkansas and Missouri. Life is good and when it’s not I just “Put on my big girl panties and deal with it”.
Amanda Marks is an artist, designer, stay-at-home mom, and host of her own internet painting show. She is best known for her wildlife paintings and her “mad scientist experiments,” where she takes everyday household items and creates new easy-to-use media. On her painting show on Creative Edventures Web TV, she shows that you don’t need a big budget to paint and the most important thing is to have fun!
Amanda is also a graphic designer. Her knowledgeable background in Historic Preservation and Art Education helps her explain the complex in very simple terms. She shines when showing simple, frugal ways to craft with your whole family, with easy tutorials. When she isn’t in front of the camera or glued to her craft table, she and her husband are chasing their two children.
Amanda chronicles her and her family’s crafty adventures and misadventures at her blog Who Are You Calling Crafty?
I am a self-taught artist living in the mid-west. I have been doing and selling art and
crafts for decades. I paint, sketch, sculpt, do fiber arts and just about any type of
craft out there. For the past decade or more, my chosen medium has been polymer
clay. I sell figurines, jewelry and other items made from it. That might change,
though, since I have recently discovered how easy Creative Paperclay is to work
with. I am a true Halloween fanatic, and can't wait to create loads of whimsical
figures for my Fall sales as well as try some jewelry-making with paperclay. I am
inspired by nature and kids, holidays and animals.
I have been scrapbooking and card making for about 15 years. I am a wife to my best friend, mother of 3 (1 daughter and 2 sons) and Oma (Grandma) to 2 (granddaughter and grandson). I am very interested in many different mediums. My crafts exist of scrapbooking, card making, wedding favors, centerpieces, floral arranging, vinyl homedecor and jewelry making. I dabble in a few more crafty things, but too many to name. I am addicted to using my Cricut and cuddlebug, although sometimes it seems I am playing more than creating.
Hello! My name is Marissa Fratoni. I am from the still freezing cold state of Massachusetts. They told me it’s Spring, but I am having a hard time believing them, whoever they are! I wear many hats in my delightful little life. I am a massage therapist, soon-to-be registered nurse, writer, doula-in-training, avid yoga practitioner, and mixed-media artist. My mixed-media artist hat provides for the most fun! I sculpt, sew, paint, doodle, sketch, make paper in blenders, dabble in jewelry-making, and try to find as many uses for Creative Paperclay as humanly possible. And then I typically use all of these mediums to create art dolls, ornaments, magnets, greeting cards, figurines, hair accessories, funky jewelry boxes, cake toppers, and home decorations. My artwork helps me to make sense of my crazy life while my husband, family, and friends help me keep at least one foot firmly planted in reality. I prefer to leave the other foot dancing in the rain and mud!
It's that amazing team! Hope you check out each of their blogs and become follower of this blog and their blogs. We all love follower and comments!TTFN
