Seaside Shells with Delight Clay™

Hello and welcome to another blog post. Today I am continuing with my seaside theme. We will be making some shells using Delight Clay™ and a mold.

Supplies needed:

Delight Clay™
Folk Art Parchment Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint
Clear Gesso
Gold Mica Powder *
Acrylic Glazing Medium*

*If you don't have these use a pearl acrylic paint.

Follow the steps below:

Begin by adding a drop of off-white acrylic paint to the Delight Clay and blending. This will give a nice base color for the shells.

Now press the clay into the mold.

Gently remove and set aside to dry.

Trim the edges with scissors if necessary and sand away any uneven bits. I nail file is perfect for this.

Apply a coat of clear gesso and allow to dry.

To finish off, mix a bit of gold mica powder with an acrylic glazing medium and use to paint the shells.

Arent those beautiful! And they were so simple to make. Be sure to save these as we will be using them on a mixed media board soon. Next month I will be making corals, also with Delight Clay™ so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out.

Speckled Easter Eggs

Hello, Easter is almost here so I have been busy making Easter Decor. I colored some Delight Clay™ with chalk pastels and made these adorable Easter Eggs. I then decorated a tiny basket so my eggs had somewhere to go. I have made a video tutorial for you, so you too can make these Speckled Easter Eggs.

Supplies Needed

Delight Clay™
chalk pastels
mini basket
acrylic paint - Folk Art Acrylic Vintage White
bronze or brown acrylic paint
ribbon to wrap around your basket
small bow
shredded Kraft Paper
glue
scissors
craft knife
plate
glue gun and stick
wet wipe or damp cloth

Upcycle a Bottle with Delight Clay™

Hello, do you often keep bottles just because you think you could upcycle them? I certainly do, and I end up with so many bottles! In today's project will upcycle one of these bottles and use Delight Clay™ to make fabulous embellishments to decorate it.

You will need a few simple supplies for this project, some of which you may have laying around the house.

Supply List

Delight Clay™
Tissue - the kind you get in presents
Printed Napkins - as collage papers
matte medium or Mod Podge
gel medium
gesso
Folk Art Multi-surface Paint
