Lynda's Tips

One thing I hate - is working hard on a project, and it just doesn't turn out EXACTLY as I envisioned it...and the project I am working on right now - is just that - not turning out how I want it to!  So, today's post is all about making mistakes, and how to correct some of the little things that happen!

  1. When you are working on flat pieces - flatten the Creative Paperclay product out first, and then cut a piece that is a bit bigger than the piece you are working with. Flatten out the piece so it is the same size all the way around.  This helps make your piece be perfect - all the way around!
  2. Use water to help with some of the smaller cracks as the piece is being dried - and to smooth out any of the imperfections of your project.
  3. If you want your piece to be perfectly flat - let it dry for a bit (12 hours) in the air, and then put a heavy object on top of it to keep the pieces flat to finish up drying.
  4. Make sure you sketch out your project - think about things a bit before hand, in order to create that "perfect piece"!
Spend time with things - if you know it is a more intense project, start earlier!  Don't be like me and wait until the last moment to get things done!  I can't wait to share with you my finished project, from the tips above!
